Loss Assessor Fees

We work on a No Settlement, No Fee basis. Our fee is normally 10% of your claim settlement, plus VAT, and we agree it with you in writing before we start, so you know where you stand from day one.

What does a Loss Assessor cost?

We normally charge a percentage of the settlement your insurer pays. Our standard fee is 10% plus VAT.

For example, on a settlement of €10,000 the fee would normally be €1,000 plus VAT of €230, a total of €1,230.

There is no charge for the initial inspection.

No Settlement, No Fee

If your insurer does not pay your claim, you do not pay us a fee.

When do I pay?

The fee is normally payable when your insurer issues the main settlement cheque. We do not normally charge anything up front.

If your insurer makes an interim payment first, a portion of the fee is normally paid at that point and the balance when the main cheque issues.

Your insurer may hold back part of the settlement (a retention) until repairs are complete. We work with you to have it released, but the full fee is normally due when the main settlement cheque issues.

Who pays the Loss Assessor?

You do, not your insurer. That is what keeps us independent and working only for you. The Loss Adjuster is appointed and paid by your insurance company.

What is included?

  • A detailed inspection of the damage
  • Reporting the claim to your insurer
  • Attending the Loss Adjuster's inspections on your behalf
  • Preparing and submitting the full claim
  • All negotiation with your insurer through to settlement

Are there other ways to charge?

In some cases an hourly or flat rate suits better. If so, we agree the rate and the timing of payment with you in writing in advance, and those terms apply instead of the No Settlement, No Fee basis.
